In the previous article, I shared instructions to help you practice singing high with the right music and rhythm. If you don't know how to practice, you can read the article: Instructions on how to sing Karaoke well?

Once you have practiced singing more correctly and are a little more confident, performing in the karaoke room is the goal we aim for. Haven't you tried practicing and reading this article just to sing karaoke better and have fun with your friends?

However, if you practice alone at home, you will feel confident, but when you go out to sing in a crowd, you will feel more confident. Sometimes it's mostly strangers or there's a significant other that I'm flirting with and suddenly my confidence disappears and I can't show off my "brilliant" form like at home. I would like to share some tips when entering a karaoke room so you can "shine".

First, if you find yourself shy and feeling shaky when performing in front of a crowd, you should make a little yeast to put your mind in an excited state. Here I mean wine yeast, not probiotic yeast from yogurt, so I don't have to call it iced yogurt. hehe

This depends on each person's alcohol tolerance, but I recommend drinking less. If it's wine, it's only about 2 or 3 cups and if it's beer, it's only one or two bottles (that's for people who can drink 5-6 times that much).

Be careful not to go too high or you will die. Why? Even if you drink too much alcohol, your breathing is tiring, not to mention singing. At that time, you can't control your breathing and singing is very loud. At the same time, you drink a lot of beer and your stomach is bloated, so there's no place to catch your breath. If you drink moderately, you'll feel a slight tingling in your head.

If you have been drinking and drinking since the previous session, and karaoke is already session 2, you can skip this step. After drinking, you should not drink when you go into the singing room, if you want to sing properly instead of with a drawling voice and heavy breathing.

The second thing to note: Do not bite seeds such as sunflower seeds or melon seeds. These nuts can easily cause throat irritation, so when you sing, it will be harder to reach higher pitch, and you will lose your voice and not be able to sing. Also be careful with fruits that sing small. One time, when I was singing, I ate a piece of guava and the seed got stuck in my neck. I couldn't cough it out until I finally sang with a hoarse voice like Ho Ngoc Ha's...

You can drink some drinks to sweeten your voice such as salted lemon, iced yogurt, smoothies, etc.

The third note is to choose a song you have practiced at home to sing first. You should just practice to have songs to sing confidently. If you do something a lot, you will be confident because it has become a habit. When practicing at home, you should choose songs with low tones that are easy to sing and then gradually increase them later.

Why do I say I should choose the song to sing first? Because I have already practiced those exercises, I have a certain confidence. Perform well and then be confident he will come up to sing other songs. But as soon as you enter, you choose a song that you haven't sung much and aren't confident enough. After singing it, you'll lose more confidence to sing the next songs.

I find it relatively easy to sing songs by Khac Viet, Lam Truong, Minh Quan, and Dan Truong. Or some of the music on the market today that doesn't have too high a pitch, just sing to the right tune.

If something goes too fast or slow, you can fix it, don't get stuck and stop. If you sing slower, speed it up to match the music, but if it's faster, slow down a bit to let the music catch up and then sing as usual.

Let them sing first, especially the guys who can't sing well, let them torture everyone and then we'll sing and see the obvious difference. haha

When holding the mic, the hand holding the mic should be held at a distance of about 10cm from the mic to the body, and the mic should be about 5-10cm away from the mouth, just do it comfortably without being too restrictive.

If it's too close, you'll hear it clearly when you take a breath. If it's too far, singing will be tiring. When singing the normal parts, put it a little closer, and for the final parts where you have to shout, then slowly move the mic further away. Once you practice, you'll get used to it, and then it becomes like a reflex.

Another thing is that people should not sing rock songs or scream at the beginning. If you lose your voice, you will be an audience member from now until the end of the show. They chose Moss, Microwave left them alone. Just for fun, just recite along, don't shout until you lose your voice. The program is still long!

Those are some of my small experiences singing. Above all, still listen a lot. Sing a lot, practice a lot and you will get used to it and build confidence. Whatever you experience for the first time is considered half way done. Try to get rid of the image of paying money even though you can't sing. As for those of you who sing like you're punching in the ears and fight for the mic all the time, stop fighting for the mic and practice to sing better. To avoid getting people's attitudes every time you sing!
