These days are truly bad days for the whole world. The impact of COVID 19 is much greater than we imagine. We all know the negative effects of COVID 19 because the media has reported it continuously over the past few days.
In this article, I would like to approach this issue with a more positive perspective. The epidemic will not end immediately. If we continue to live in negativity, we will already be "dead" before we get infected.
Vietnam is more wonderful than we think!
During this epidemic, during this tribulation, we see that our country is much more wonderful than we thought.
State for the people
This is first shown in the Government's excellent direction from the anti-epidemic policy, welcoming compatriots from abroad and also the way we behave with foreign tourists.
In phase 1, when our "neighbors" were devastated and the whole world was affected by the epidemic, the government did a very good job of zoning in and preventing the epidemic. We were very proud to be next to China but there were only 16 cases, all 16 of which were cured.
People nationwide and foreigners in Vietnam always feel safe and secure when protected by the State and there are no more cases. In just 2 weeks, we can declare the end of the epidemic...
And then... the 17th case came, causing the whole of Hanoi to have a sleepless night. That same night, the authorities in Hanoi and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam immediately held a meeting, organized the quarantine of Truc Bach street and zoned out people at risk during the night as quickly as the wind.
Honestly, when I saw the photo of Mr. Vu Duc Dam holding his face being shared online, I really felt angry with patient number 17. Just because of the deceit and efforts of so many people, so many Ministries, Departments, and Branches. pour into the river. How many businesses, preschools, and restaurants eagerly hope to be able to resume business to offset costs for the past days of closure. So that…
But even if we are angry at patient number 17, we must also realize that, without patient number 17, there would be another number 17... Because the epidemic is no longer just in a few countries like before. but become global. Sooner or later, Co Vy will creep into Vietnam from other countries.
The Dutch Minister of Health fainted during a parliamentary hearing on COVID-19 and then resigned due to being hospitalized due to stress. An official in the Korean Anti-epidemic Committee committed suicide. We can see how stressed the leaders are in this war! Fortunately, our country has dedicated leaders like Mr. Dam, Mr. Phuc, Mr. Trong, etc. I believe that if we minimize the harmful effects of the epidemic, when the epidemic ends, our country's economy will grow stronger than other countries that have suffered heavy losses.
There are things you can see during this COVID 19 epidemic:
- Continuous care messages from the Ministry of Health from Zalo, SMS, and notifications on Youtube help everyone receive information. Especially people like me who rarely watch TV or news.
- The NCOVI App was launched just 2-3 days after the 17th case was reported with a health declaration for the entire population that helps the government manage Big Data to identify areas with many people with fever and cough to conduct zoning. Marking areas at risk of infection on the map helps people have clear information instead of fake news shared widely online. To launch an app with a huge amount of work: from features, friendly interface, being able to handle millions of people at the same time, analyzing data, sending activation codes, being quickly approved by the App Store is a huge effort. (The leader of that code team shared that for several days he only slept 2-3 hours, meeting all night to complete the app)
- The song Ghen Co Vy increases anti-epidemic communication. By collaborating with young artists with songs that are accessible to young people, the government has learned how to communicate more to young people.
- Pay attention to the image of the country: when providing guidance and treatment to unfortunate tourists coming to Vietnam in the epidemic area to beautify the image of the country with foreign friends.
- Dedicated and thoughtful care for the people in the quarantine area. Stabilize and punish traders who take advantage of the epidemic situation to increase prices and hoard masks. Always reassure people that there will always be enough essential goods to supply without having to buy and hoard.
Up to now, the majority of new infections in Vietnam are mainly "imported" by air and there are not many new cases spreading in the community, showing that we are localizing very well and quickly. .
Our country may not be rich yet, and the government still has many bad problems that need to be solved. But if you want anything more from the government when dealing with this type of epidemic, look to developed countries. Countries that many people often compare to to bring Vietnam down such as the US, Italy, Germany, UK, Spain, Korea,... are struggling to fight the epidemic, and people are living in panic. How sad…
We are also providing free treatment and free quarantine for all people. And if you still compare the social policies of developed countries, their people are paying 40-50% in income tax and now when they get sick they still have to sit at home and take medicine without being treated... And Many overseas Vietnamese are flocking to Vietnam to receive treatment and care instead of waiting in their own country.
We just hope that after the epidemic ends, they will contribute to their ancestral homeland, instead of a place they only return to when they find it difficult...
Don't always say that the Western sky is this, the Western sky is that and reject the homeland as something rotten.
I always love Vietnam! And have faith that day by day the country will become better and better!
The national spirit is so high!
It must be admitted that the person who made the argument that Vietnam has a national spirit when difficulties arise is completely correct!
These days we see how high the national spirit is. Everyone and every family obeys the State's instructions. Volunteer to contribute human and material resources to the community.
Every time I read articles about people forced to live a miserable life in the forest to make room for quarantined people, pictures of volunteers, doctors, police officers and many others... struggling. During the Covid 19 epidemic, I cried even though I'm the type of guy who rarely sheds any tears. Thank you very much!
We hope that you and I will be more responsible to the community and follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health so that fewer people get sick and quarantine will help the government and those fighting the epidemic ease the hardship!
Everyone, please join hands and send a text message to support the COVID 19 anti-epidemic fund! Depending on your strength, just a little bit can help the country!
Human Lungs & Mother Earth's Lungs
The pandemic is breaking out horribly in Italy, but contrary to that tragic image, Venice's water is greener than usual. Italians say that it took 60 years for Venice to be so green and clear!
In addition, there is also news about the air quality of Italy and China, the countries most affected by COVID-19. The US Space Agency (NASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA) published satellite indicators, showing that the concentration of NO2 pollutants (vehicle and industrial emissions) decreased sharply in Italy. and some regions of China such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan.
And I believe that this data will still be true globally when people around the world limit travel and planes also stop emitting smoke in the sky. Tourist destinations, caves, and forests also have time to rest to "breathe".
The epidemic that is destroying human lungs is helping mother Earth's lungs have time to recover
Is this the law of cause and effect that humans must suffer when they continuously destroy the Earth's lungs? I don't know anymore... But what we realized after the epidemic is how much better nature becomes when we reduce the human factor!
Panic – fake news & show-offs.
Perhaps you will wonder why I put such an unrelated title. Let me analyze it!
The panic I saw most clearly was that people rushed to buy supplies when our country began to have the 17th case of infection. People rushed to buy instant noodles, food, meat and vegetables to the point of selling out, sometimes Those who still buy up to 15 cabbages to store...
At that time, I found it strange why everyone was panicking like the world was ending. In some chat groups on Zalo of relatives, my work is covered in a dark color. But when I sat in a cafe with my friend and he showed me the statuses and photos taken in groups and shared them, I understood the reason.
That's the word fake news!
A billion things were made up by some people around the 17th case, including Times being quarantined like Son Loi, Patient 17 attended the opening of Uniqlo, her lover's house in Hapulico, just returned from a meeting at the radio station, a dozen or more. People are infected, Hanoi is devastated,... Oh my god! How come people don't panic?
It turns out that because I rarely use social networks, I only go to a few groups that I consider important and positive. I unfollow all the popular, negative groups, friends who often post negative information. Therefore, I don't know and don't care about that information...
Panic is like an effect that spreads exponentially, especially in this social network environment. Just press a share button and hundreds, thousands of people will know. When transmitted from person to person, fear becomes stronger and stronger. This person is not afraid at first, but there are too many people panicking, so they also panic, because all of us have fear of FOMO (fear of missing out). fear of missing out)
This fake news originally originated from people who wanted to gain personal benefits such as increased influence and attention, so they created it themselves and gradually spread it, people shared it without thinking or confirming themselves. Everyone wants to share this information because it seems "confidential" to show that they are better than others when it comes to knowing this information...
So in addition to fighting the epidemic, the state must also strive to fight the "internal enemy" which is fake news. If not handled quickly, it will spread strongly, affecting anti-epidemic work.
Fake news is not unique to Vietnam, it is the same in other countries. So, please stay calm about fake news! Don't share carelessly to become a tool for those spreading information.
What to do if you lose your job?
The economic loss during this epidemic is huge, even greater than the crisis because all human contact has stopped.
From tourism, schools, restaurants, services, gyms,... all are affected so a large number of workers lose their jobs.
I wonder if you are one of them? If so, don't be too sad because we will have time to reorient our careers.
If you were bored with your previous job, this would be an opportunity for you to change industries or find a job you love, right?
If you are temporarily laid off, consider this a time for you to rest, gain new knowledge, and spend time with your family so you can come back stronger after the epidemic.
During this time your source of income is reduced, even very difficult, perhaps you need to review your previous spending and personal financial management. Why do you spend all your income and have no emergency fund?? Learn from experience and consider this a time for you to practice the habit of saving and managing spending!
This epidemic will also help you realize is your job really good? What circumstances will affect your work? Should you look for another job, another source of income that is less affected when an incident occurs?
What should I do on a day off during the COVID 19 pandemic?
On these days off, instead of sleeping in, playing games, find some way to kill time. Let's take advantage of these times! It doesn't matter if there's a pandemic or not, because each person's time remains the same. If we don't take advantage of our time, we are wasting our own time.
This is a great time for us to develop ourselves to come back and be better than before after the epidemic ends.
I will suggest some things you can do during this time:
- Read books, read a novel that you like because before, maybe because you were too busy, you didn't have time to read.
- Enjoy time with family because on weekdays there are few opportunities to be with them.
- Learn a new skill such as: foreign language, playing the piano, cooking, photography...
- Try doing jobs to make money online (who knows, it might change your career).
- Add more skills to your current job.
- Write your plan for this year or the next 5 years.
- Try blogging, making vlogs to record your thoughts and experiences. It doesn't need to be public. It's like a time for you to talk to yourself.
- Learn Meditation, Yoga, or practice Workout at home.
Consider it an opportunity for you to slow down and rest after the hustle and bustle of the past few days where you rarely get a chance to rest. Always think positively and exercise to reduce the risk of disease!
Because I work freelance, these days of translation do not affect my work too much. I just have to limit some habits like going to coffee shops to work, going to the gym (because the gym has been closed for 2 weeks), so I sit at home working more, watching self-exercise videos at home and jogging. early morning deserted, no people.
I am spending time these days to supplement my knowledge from reading books, taking online courses on Forex trading, analyzing and trading Forex and Crypto in these days of economic recession (perhaps we are in a recession). Lucky to witness a recession early to learn things from the crisis, avoiding the risk of losing more money in the future)
This is also the time I optimize the website, add more quality content, and record what I learn so I can soon share it with everyone.
Wishing everyone good health and full of positive energy through this COVID 19 pandemic!
