From the time we first step into a certain field until we reach the top, we must always learn from those who have gone before us. So should we learn from successful people or from unsuccessful people?
For myself, each person's success or failure gives us memorable lessons. But there is a saying that I always remember: "Successful people can lie, but unsuccessful people always tell the truth."
Of course, this does not apply to everyone, but basically I find the above statement to be completely true.
You read a lot of success stories in newspapers, on Facebook, on TV,... those examples are everywhere. But trust me, what they share is not real and not everything they will experience.
Most of those stories are all rosy. From a difficult person, starting a business with nothing, failing without being discouraged, from a sudden idea and then reaching success. That makes us perceive them as a role model that we need to approach, waiting for luck and one day we will succeed.
Often successful people paint such a picture for the purpose of making their story more special and satisfying. But you don't know what they did behind that story, how bitter their failure was and what they learned from that failure. So that we can avoid it in the process of starting a career.
For those who fail (here I mean they failed in a certain project) when you ask about their experience, they will tell the truth about their experiences, their problems, experiences that include blood and literally tears. From there we learn a lot of things and analyze them ourselves to draw lessons for ourselves.
Many books advise that you should find successful people and learn and follow them to succeed. Mistake! The world is changing day by day and their previous experiences may not be applicable. What we need to learn is their spirit, optimism, and way of thinking to find another direction for ourselves. And don't forget to learn from their failures.
On the way to learn and try!
