For many people, perhaps turtles are nothing special. They are even discriminated against for being slow, ugly or like in Chinese movies with the curse: "You shrunken turtle".
Among the Four Spirits, Turtle is probably the most underestimated species.
Not a species that symbolizes the Royal Family like the Dragon
Not blazing with wings in the sky like Phung
It's not a super hybrid of all species like Ly
But a special thing is that the Turtle is the only species that is real and does not exist in the imagination among the Four Spirits. That's definitely not a coincidence.
For me, there are many lessons in Trading and everyday life that I learn from this animal. Let me share to see if any of you guys join the "Turtle but not red ears" team with me!
FREEDOM, ADAPTABILITY.
Turtles can live both in water and on land with good adaptability. Turtles can also eat fish, shrimp, and vegetables.
Turtles have a house that they always carry on their bodies, so they can freely go anywhere just by crawling into their shell.
The same goes for Trading. As traders in any market, we can make money, especially with Price Action. We just need to have a reasonable strategy for each market.
And most importantly, freedom.
TOLERANCE
Turtles are animals that are very good at fasting. When times are favorable, they will eat a lot to create abundant energy reserves to supply the body when hungry. They lie still for long periods of time, not moving, causing metabolic activity to decrease to a minimum.
In addition, the internal temperature can change depending on changes in ambient temperature, without needing to waste energy to maintain a stable temperature.
On August 1, 1993, in Shenyang - China, when people dug the foundation of a house, they found a square wooden box containing a turtle. At first, the turtle lay still, about 5 hours later. it started moving and crawling.
Upon inspection and investigation, it became clear that the owner of this house was superstitious, so when he built the house 60 years ago, he chose a turtle to be his "love charm". Thus, the turtle's ability to fast for long periods of time is very good.
This is what I often tell everyone in Trader. Let's wait patiently for a good bet. We may not see a bet all week, but just wait for a good bet with a high RR rate and we will have enough profit for the whole week.
BE PATIENT, SLOWLY BUT SURE
The catchphrase that people often say when they see someone else being lucky is: "You eat turtles!". Do you know why there is such a saying?
In my opinion, that's because of the story of the Hare and the Tortoise. The Rabbit naturally runs faster but loses to the Tortoise and people think it's luck...
But for me, it's about perseverance, trying, knowing how to focus on yourself and going in the right direction.
Most people who are just starting to trade are in a hurry to make money quickly, or when they learn that others are progressing faster, they are very impatient and hasty, sometimes even thinking that they are incompetent.
But sometimes people who profit too quickly are subjective and don't keep discipline, and end up losing a lot.
Each person has a different ability, different intelligence, different life. If you're a little slower, you can still get to the finish line your way.
The important thing is that you reach your destination, whether others reach their destination early or want has nothing to do with your life, right?
The most wonderful thing when I look back at my trading journey is not how much money I make now? It's about seeing how I have improved and grown compared to when I started.
MOVE YOURSELF
Turtle eggs are hatched on the beach or pond edge. Immediately after hatching, baby turtles will find a way to swim into the water and start a new life on their own. Unlike other animals, they have to be in the arms of their parents for a long time before they can become independent.
In Trading, too, learn how to trade yourself and survive in the market. Instead of depending on signals and other people's bets. Only in this way can you turn Trading into your profession.
NO NEED TO ARGUMENT
When I first started my Youtube channel, even now when the channel has 30k subs. There are still comments saying that I'm not good at it. If I replay it, no one can tell. Or is this method wrong…bla…bla…
Sometimes I get angry but I remember the lesson from the turtle. Turtles do not attack their enemies, at most they will crawl into their shell and ignore them. If anyone attacks or claims they are good, leave them alone. You just need to do what your heart feels is right.
ULTIMATELY LIVE LONG
Perhaps living such a peaceful and calm life is why turtles live so long. The natural lifespan is certainly several dozen times that of a rabbit. As well as traders who last a long time in the market.
Not to mention that no one eats turtle meat, but rabbits only eat it. If you are a Trader who learns the way of the turtle, no IB or scam organization will "kill" you!
