Review of the novel The Fountainhead – Ayn Rand

Hello everyone, I just finished reading the novel Source Stream and was very emotional so decided to immediately review this novel.

To be honest, I'm not someone who often reads literary works or novels. The books I read are mostly about personal development and skill development.

I rarely read novels because I think they are too long and fictitious, only for entertainment and to kill time, so at first I was very hesitant before buying Suoi Nguon.

After holding the book in my hand "Oh Mom" 1200 pages are so thick, it's like a dictionary. If you take pictures with guys ten centimeters taller than you, you can rest assured because if you stand on this book you will be equal to him. If I boiled it, I think it could boil a kettle of water.

And to this day, after devouring these 1,200 odd pages, I just want the novel to continue to lengthen so that I can continue the same journey with the characters in it.

When reading Suoi Nguon, I believe you will, like me, see yourself or the people around you reproduced in the characters. The strange thing is that the novel was written in 1943 but with today's society and people it is still so true.

This will be an opportunity for you to look back at yourself and society with the philosophical ideas in the novel. There will certainly be sentences and dialogues from the characters that make you ponder and read them again and again to understand the thoughts contained within them. But rest assured that those philosophical thoughts are expressed very vividly through the characters' personalities, actions, and dialogues, so they will not bore you at all.

You will be fascinated by the young architect Howard Roark's journey of asserting the truth from the time he was expelled from the University until he was nearly 40 years old. We will feel small when standing next to the desires and ideals that he pursues.

Reviews of the novel source

When reading this novel, I was in a period of quite stressful and uncertain about my best friend's life goals because of the difficulties and obstacles in pursuing what I wanted. Especially, being shaken by other people's words.

But when I read about Howard's journey, I had a lot more faith and saw that what I encountered was still a small price to pay for pursuing what I wanted.

We will also see Dominique, Toohey, Peter, Wyland,... as the embodiment of many people living around us. Wars are not only between people, they are also wars within ourselves. Have you ever wondered that? Who am I? Do I feel worthy of the life I'm living?

People always want to be immortal, but they die with each passing day

Many people are wearing a mask of kindness, helpfulness, and integrity to others, but are they really that kind and trustworthy?

You will see a society where an article donated to a poor scientist who continues to research a project useful to humanity only costs 9$ 45 cents, but an article about a girl who is pregnant by a criminal in What is the prison of the 1077$?

That is the same as the reality we are living in right now, news about good deeds has very few views, news about robbery, murder, and rape is always given attention, discussed, and shared excessively. Is it the newspapers' fault, or society's fault that if they write about good news, no one cares?

One more thing, in a society that always propagates the idea of sacrificing yourself for others, you will deserve to be honored. Are the philosophies and ideas of the majority correct?

The novel spreads a living ideology “selfish” self-worship (different from selfishness) that you will gradually understand throughout the author's content.

If you do not find the life you are living meaningful, are looking for your ideal but are still afraid of society and the people around you, read this book.

I really like the image of a tossing baby because no matter how hard the owl is pushed, pushed, or slapped, after a while of shaking it will still continue to stand upright. Don't be like a beautiful doll that just blows by the wind and falls flat on its face and can't get up on its own.

I have been given a lot of motivation to continue with my passion and continue on the path I have chosen after reading this novel. Surely this will be a guideline for my life in the future.

I believe you will feel the same way. It's really better than what I've written with my limited literary ability. Buy it and feel it!

When reviewing novels, I always try not to reveal the content of the story or the ending so that everyone can have the best experience when reading. When reading reviews online, I also avoid reviews that reveal too much about the plot, or say too much about the characters. Because the same character, each person will have a different assessment.

Advice: You should take your free time and remove all current distractions to start reading it. This novel requires continuous reading. Please spend 1 or 2 hours in your free time. Leave the phone on silent and let the character's mind and world go.
