Book review of The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho
Just like the title above, I have heard the name of this book a lot and many times went to the bookstore to glance at it and thought that reading books about skills or personal change would be much more effective than books about self-change. forward this issue. Because actually, I have this prejudice because I first read the book "The Greatest Salesman" and saw it being praised so much that I didn't think it was a good read. I wonder if it was because at that time my thinking was shallow and I didn't fully understand it so I didn't see the appeal of it.
This time I was curious because the book was a bestseller after the Bible, so I decided to buy it and read it.
And really, the book did not disappoint me, it is still a hypothetical story of the author. It tells the story of a shepherd boy who risked selling all his sheep to find an alchemist and treasure. But the story doesn't just pass by like that, but on every journey the boy takes, every time he encounters a friend, he suddenly feels a little similar to the things he has encountered in his life.
There are things that seem coincidental but are not. It's like an arrangement of fate: events and people change our lives
I don't know if when reading this book I was also wondering and confused on the path to finding what I wanted, but I really found the book to have a lot of meaning. Like a guideline for me to reflect and decide my direction and enjoy exploring every page of my life.
If you are like me at that time, I believe this book will help you make a lot of friends. Read slowly and with each situation in the story try to relate it to your life. You will see miracles.
